Title
「Die lang ersehnte Frühlingsblumen(de). Eagerly awaited many Spring flowers(en)」
Thoughts put into the work
We designed and painted a large bouquet in the hope that everyone who came to the exhibition would feel the warmth and joy of spring.
- About the we designed flowers
- ★Casablanca
- Flower language: noble
- The Casablanca, also known as the queen of lilies, is the centerpiece of the overall point, surrounded by a variety of flower colors and gorgeously designed.
- ★Tulip
- Flower language: go ahead
- Spring is the season when many people move forward to the next step, such as graduation or promotion to the next grade in Japan, and I have tried to show the progress toward the next flower by directing the flow toward the cherry blossoms.
- In Japan, the idiom "sakura saku" (cherry blossoms in bloom) is sometimes used as a inform the recipient that he/she has passed an examination.
- ★Freesia
- Flower language: innocent
- The upward advancing freesia is represented in the same color as the base color, pink, so that the design overlaps with spring in meaning.
- ★Daffodil
- Flower language: thoughtfulness
- The daffodil is an essential early spring flower. We have incorporated them in our new place so that we do not forget to be mindful of them.
- ★Cyclamen
- Flower language: bond
- Since spring is include the day of the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Tohoku (2011/03/11), I wanted to include cyclamen, which have the word "kizuna (bond)" in flower language of flowers, in this flowering bouquet.
About the motif
-
★Lace ribbon
- Lace ribbon, which serves to bind the flowers together, was using to give the bouquet some movement.
-
★Cutout of Heart Shape
- The canvas is superimposed on the human body and the heart is hollowed out to form a heart. I drew a spiral pattern and flowers on the organdie fabric to express the excitement of waiting for spring and the unity with the lace ribbon.
-
★Four corners of a frame
- The ivory laces with at the four corners were designed to complement the main star of the flower bouquet.
-
In the end
- The cold winter is a time for both people and flowers to save their power, and because Japan has four seasons, the arrival of spring is a joy in itself. In this painting, I have depicted flowers, which can accompany any scene, as the main characters.
- I hope you can feel such a source of energy.
